As sharp-eyed readers may have noticed, other Orlando Sentinel blogs have been migrating to a new platform that is better integrated with the rest of the Sentinel website. This week, it’s The Downswing’s turn.
It’s not what anyone would consider a Rees Jones overhaul. Consider it more along the Tom Doak or Gil Hanse blueprint – a minimalist touchup that’s faithful to the original concepts and keeps pace with ever-developing technology.
In other words, the new platform will make posting items a little easier on those of us who contribute and will provide for an easier way for blog postings to be found off the OS.com sports page. It may even lead to lowering your scores. (OK, we made that last part up.)
Starting Sept. 25, you’ll find The Downswing teeing off at this new address, perfectly timed to showcase bonus coverage of this week’s Ryder Cup at Medinah.
Be aware that frequent visitors will need an Orlando Sentinel digital membership for full access, and users will have to sign in to comment. Sentinel newspaper subscribers have free digital access, but need to register their account.
